Mrs. Lelia Melton of Beedeville died at a local hospital Monday evening at 7:40 p.m. following an extended illness. She was born in Arkansas Dec. 8, 1884, a daughter of W. M. and Ida Allison and had lived at Beedeville since she moved there from Lonoke County 25 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, J.M. Melton of Beedeville; mother, Mrs. Ida Allison of Hickory Plains; one son, Kimmons Melton of Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Reid of Newport Airbase, Mrs. Leonard Nance of Beedeville, and Mrs. Bud Fields of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, W.M. Allison of Peoria, Ill; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lelia married James Melvin Melton on November 13, 1902 in Butler Township, Lonoke county, Arkansas.
