Anna Dahlke 1913-1997

Anna "Annie" Dahlke, 83, of Leonard, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at the Golden Acres Board and Lodging Home at Shevlin.
She was born October 22, 1913, at Garvin, Minnesota to parents Emil and Christina (Bauer) Dahlke. On March 1, 1914, the family moved by taking a train from Marshall, Minnesota with livestock, machinery, and personal possessions to Bagley. From Bagley they journeyed by team and wagon to a farm near Clearbrook. Annie attended the Happy Hollow School in Holst Township. She worked as a domestic helper in the Clearbrook, Leonard and Bagley areas. She lived most of her life in Dudley Township until moving to the board and lodging home several years ago.
Survivors include one sister, Laura Henry of Minneapolis; three sisters in law, Mabel Holmen and Edna Dahlke, both of Clearbrook, and Lorraine Dahlke of Bloomington, Minnesota; 15 nieces and 12 nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, may 20, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley with Rev. Dennis Brovold officiating. Interment was at the Silver Creek Cemetery at the Clearbrook with arrangements by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley.
