MRS. CATHERINE O'BYRNE PASSESS AWAY
Mrs. Catherine O'Byrne, 82 year old Spring Valley resident died at 12:50 am Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Dan Pohl, 226 ½ East St. Paul St. following and extended illness.
Mrs. O'Byrne was born in Ireland August 15, 1864, a daughter of the late James and Johanna Brown Carr. She came to the United States at the age of 13 and resided in LaSalle for some time. On Feb 6, 1890 she married Andrew O'Byrne who died in 1906.
The family home was at 120 East Devlin Street but for the past several years Mrs. O'Byrne resided with her daughter, Mrs. Pohl.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Emil (Josephine) Mackiney, Chicago; Mrs. Theodore (Marie) DeSerf and Mrs. Dan (Theresa) Pohl, Spring Valley: Mrs. Dan (Abbie) Corsoline, Aurora: Mrs. Catherine Pigatti, Chicago. One brother the Rev. M. J. Carr also survives. There are 14 grandchildren and 17 great children.
Mrs. O'Byrne was a member of the St. Rose of Lima court, COF and also a member of the Immaculate Conception church.
