Carol V. Alberson, 77, Muncie, did Monday in East Pointe Hospital, Lehigh Acres, Fla., after a long illness. She had spent the last three winters in Florida with her husband, R. Glen Alberson.
She was born in Redkey, came to Muncie as a child, attended city schools, and spent most of her life in the Muncie area.
Mrs. Alberson attended DeSoto United Methodist Church and was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 104, and Very Happy Willing Workers.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of 54 years, include two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Phillip) Brown, Albany, and Wanda (Mrs. George) Adams, Lehigh Acres; a son, Eugene Alberson, Carmel; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Thomas Bowman, pastor of DeSoto United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Black Cemetery, northeast of Muncie. Calling will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday at the mortuary. Eastern Star Chapter 104 will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
