BRAITHWAITE, , BRIDGET ANNE Born 2/22/59 Austin Texas, died 3/20/06 in Dallas unexpectedly of a heart attack. Always the scholar, Bridget's life included many honors: a Merit Scholar in high school, recipient of the Pew Scholarship to SMU where she graduated in three years Suma Cum Laude with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Mensa. She received her JD degree from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin in 1983 where she was a notes and comments editor for the Texas International Law Journal. She practiced law in both Austin and the Dallas area. She was praised by many colleagues for her brief writing, research skills, and her legal astuteness. She helped many people, doing pro bono legal work and advising others concerning legal problems. Bridget was an avid reader with a library of over four thousand books and was an authority on Science Fiction. Her other interests included music, sports trivia, and history. Her family, friends, and colleagues will remember her for her quick wit, her sharp mind, her generosity, and her compassion for those who needed help. She is survived by her parents, Philip and Barbara Braithwaite of Dallas, an aunt, Betty Barnett of Salem, Virginia, a cousin, the Rev. Edward Barnett of Roanoke, Virginia, and a cousin, Linda Barnett Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is also survived by special friends in her life: Debby, Mrs. Webber, Scout Troop 922, Nancy, Christy, Jim, Ann, Christina, David, Dwight, Joey, and canine friends Fred and Bob. "We Will Never Ever Not Remember You," A A Milne. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Incarnation, Memorial Chapel, 3966 McKinney Avenue, 75204 on Monday, March 27 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Botetourt County, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart, Carrollton, 75006. DALTON AND SON FUNERAL HOME 1550 North Stemmons Fwy.
