She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived for her family.
Mary was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed her Tuesday shopping trips with her friend, Alice Garland.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Francis 'Dennis' Strodtman, and her children, Daniel (Linda) Strodtman of Channahon and Donna (Mike) Gentile of Elwood; her grandchildren, Kathy (Steven) Heg, Nick Strodtman, Kristi and Kevin Gentile. Mary is also survived by five brothers, Cliff Zimmerman of Sioux City, Iowa, and John (Sandy) Zimmerman, Earl (Karon) Zimmerman, Chuck (Joan) Zimmerman, and Ted (Alice) Zimmerman, all of Sac City, Iowa; five sisters, Beulah (Wesley) Cole of Sac City, Florence Tatman of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Ruth (James) Mason of Sac City, and June (Kenneth) Janning of Carroll, Iowa. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen Zimmerman; two sisters, Pearl Bettin and Lois Schade; five brothers, Bud Zimmerman, Kenny Zimmerman, Bill Zimmerman, Jack Zimmerman, and James in infancy.
Internment: Resurrection Cemetery.
