Otho W. Sumner, 91, of Woodville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Woodville United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville.

Otho was born November 29, 1919 to Will & Annie Pittman Sumner in Sanger, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Woodville and had been founder & operator for many years of The Homestead Restaurant in Hillister, Texas that had been featured in Texas Monthly magazine. He was a member of Woodville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers & sisters. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Emily Sumner of Woodville; daughters, Gayle McCullough of Austin and Susan Hall & husband, Jason of Fulshear; son, Brad O'Banion & wife, Rosie of Hillister; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
