Midvale - Elizabeth Phillips Sumbot, 86, of 91 S. Main, Midvale, died at home June 1, 1974.
Born Sept. 23, 1887, Bingham Canyon, to Thomas and Elizabeth Meredith Phillips. Married Luke Anthony Sumbot Aug. 10, 1903, Salt Lake City; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He later died. She was a member of the Midvale Firemen's Auxiliary and Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors: sons, daughters, Ross W., John D., Robert, all Midvale; Ralph R., Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; Mrs. Frank (Marie) Lewis, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Donald (Tela) Brooks, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. DeWitt (Joyce) Groves, Copperas Cove, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Hazel Buckingham, Tooele; Mrs. Amelia Laur, Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services Wednesday at 11 a.m., Midvale Second LDS Ward chapel, 40 S. Main, Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday prior to services. Burial will be in Midvale City Cemetery.
