Mrs Virginia Ellen Leftwich Johnson, 74, died at her home near Boma Thursday, March 22, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the home. She had been in ill health for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was born September 6, 1859 and married Thomas S Johnson January 20, 1876. They had 5 children, Lewis, Etta, Sam, Solon and Tommy; all survive save Sam, who died about the age of 20 months. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Joe Leftwich. Her husband predeceased her by 6 years.
