Funeral services for Solon Madison Johnson, 83, were held Saturday at the Baxter Church of Christ with Ben Flatt of Carthage officiating.
Mr. Johnson died Thursday at his home in Baxter following an extended illness. Burial was in Smellage Cemetery.
A native of Putnam County he was the son of the late Thomas Stone and Virginia Leftwich Johnson. He was a nursery salesman. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Elsie Medley Johnson of Baxter and one brother W. L. Johnson of Baxter.
