PETER C. KEMMERER, of Shelvey Summit Succumbs to Heart Failure.

In the death of Peter C. Kemmerer, the community of Shelvey Summit, this county loses one of it's most respected citizens.
His sudden departure was a shock to his many friends and a heavy afflication for the family. No illiness portended his sudden departure. Until noon, of Tuesday, Jan 3, he was in good health and spirit. At 1:45 o'clock p.m. heart failure had laid him cold in death. the funeral obsequies were held Jan. 5, in St. Boniface Church in Kersey, where a Requiem High Mass was celebrated at 9 a.m. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery in Kersey.
Mr. Kemmerer was born in the provience of Bavaria, Germany 63 years ago. At the age of six years, he arrived in these parts, the family settling at Shelvey Summit where the desceased has resided ever since. He is survived by a widow, Frances Kemmerer and five children as follows: Adam of Melsor, Jefferson County,; Margaret, (Mrs. Leo Wright) Birch Hollow; Kate (Mrs. Adam Rhodes), Melsor; and James and Thomas, at home.
On account of the sudden death of Mr. Kemmerer, the family find their bereavement doubly hard to bare. They have the sympathy of many friends in the sorrow that has come to them.
