Mr. Joe W. Conover, age 76 years, of Sano Route, Columbia, Kentucky, was killed in a farm tractor accident on Highway No. 531, on Saturday, April 11, 1981, at 9:30 a.m. He was the son of the late Jim and May Williams Conover of Adair County, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Bryant Conover on December 31, 1978. Mr. Conover is survived by one son, Joseph E. Conover of Sano Route, Columbia, Kentucky; one brother, Marvin Conover of Sano Route, Columbia, Kentucky; one grandson, Steven Dale Conover of Route 2, Jamestown, Kentucky, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Conover was a member of the Freedom Separate Baptist Church. Funeral services were Monday, April 13, 1981, at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Separate Baptist Church. Clergy officiating was Rev. Richie Curtis. Interment was in Freedom Cemetery.

Stotts, Phelps, McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were: Willie George, Donald Campbell, Herman Conover, Jr. Sinclair, Udell Shirley, and Paul Green Jr.
