VERA AHLSTROM REID

Vera Ada Lloyd Ahlstrom Reid, age 69, of 763 Denver Street, died July 19, 1977, at home, of natural causes.
Born August 20, 1907, in Crescent, Utah, to Joseph Amos and Ada Newbold Lloyd. She married Bland Stewart Ahlstrom on Jun 4, 1930, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died December 25, 1950. She married Clifford L. Reid on August 9, 1954, in Salt Lake City. He died July 21, 1965. Active as secretary in Daughters of Utah Pioneers, served as LDS YWMIA President, Primary President and as Stake Primary Board member.
Survivors: son and daughters, Dale LeGrande Ahlstrom, Mrs. Thomas (Arlene) Mendenhall, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jay (Elaine) Rawlings, American Fork, Utah; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Willis (Chloe) Harper, Midvale; Wallace Lloyd, Sandy; Melvin Lloyd, Eugene Lloyd, Mrs. Vern (Fern) Jensen, all of South Jordan; son, Lloyd Stewart Ahlstrom preceded her in death, along with four stepchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m., in the Salt Lake LDS 2nd Ward, 704 South 500 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the Church one hour before services. Burial in Midvale City Cemetery.
