E. W. MYERS PASSED AWAY SUNDAY EVENING, FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
Edgar W. Myers of this city passed away Sunday evening at his home on North Washington street, after an illness of three years. For thirty-seven years Mr. Myers was an engineer in the Missouri Pacific service, but a stroke of paralysis forced Mr. Myers to retire three years ago. Mr. Myers made many friends not only in Nevada but over the entire division, who will regret to hear of his death.
Mr. Myers was born in Lawrence, Kas., September 25, 1865. On January 20, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Shea, who survives him. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Myers, Mrs. D. H. Phelps and John Myers, who survive their father, and Lynette, who died when a small child. Mr. Myers is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. John Crotty of Nevada, Mrs. W. Columbia of Chetopa, Kas., and Mrs. C. Milner of Ardmore, Okla. Mr. Myers was affiliated for many years with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers of Nevada.
The funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's church and interment was made in Deepwood cemetery.
