Decatur - Walter Thomas Cobb , 70, Seventh Ave., SE, died Sunday at his residence.

The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Rev. Olan Whitten officiating. Burial was to be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cobb was a member of the Chapel Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife, Reva H. Cobb; a son, Roger D. Cobb of Decatur; three daughters, Monda C. Beene and Cathy Britt, both of Decatur and Syble C. Bayless of Petersburg, Tenn.; a brother, Robert Cobb of Athens; two sisters, Bertha LeCroix of Decatur and Mary Key of Athens; and three grandchildren.

Walter Thomas Cobb was born Thursday, December 27, 1917, to Joel Thomas Cobb and Alice Cornelia Schrimsher Cobb.

He married Reva J. Higdon on Saturday, September 15, 1945 in Morgan County, Alabama.
