She was born April 30, 1909, in Limestone County. She was retired from employment as a lunchroom worker with the Limestone County Board of Education. She was a volunteer for RSVP for 27 years and was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Key McElyea of Athens; a son, Curtis H. Key of Cookeville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
