Brian Tripp age 56, of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at home. He was born to Robert and Irene (Arbogast) Tripp on October 21, 1954 in Grand Haven. Brian married Heidi Goven on June 25, 1977 in Spring Lake. They lived in San Diego, California for ten years where he got started in the heating and cooling business at University Mechanical. He became the owner-operator of Mr. B's Heating and Cooling, winning last year's Grand Haven Tribune's People's Choice Award for Best Heating/Cooling. Brian loved motorcycle touring and traveling throughout Europe and the United States. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed camping and riding dirt bikes, as well as being a crew chief for KTM. Brian played guitar for the bands "Barn Dogs" and "Tripp'n", and he enjoyed helping the Spread the Music Foundation. Brian is survived by his wife, Heidi; sisters: Jan (John) Efremoff of Spring Lake and Jeri (Earl) Lafave of Grand Haven; brother, Brad (Laura) Tripp of Grand Haven; sister-in-law, Penny Aman of Grand Haven and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jason Tripp in 1974. The service for Brian will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Covenant Life Church with Rev. Bruce Ballast officiating. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery. Family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.
