He enjoyed camping, sports, and spending time with his family.
Richard was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Lowell "Bud" Metzger and William H. Metzger II.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Alma Barrick Metzger, his children, Michele Grossman and her husband, Derrick of New Cumberland and Richard Metzger and his fiancée, Candace of Jonestown, a stepdaughter, Patti Peters of Duncannon, grandson, Dylan Grossman and step grand daughter, Taylor Peters and step grandson, Donny Peters. He is also survived by his three brothers, Christian, Allen and Barry Metzger and numerous other family members.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing, tomorrow night, Tuesday February 8, 2011 from 6-8pm and Wednesday from 11-noon at the Dellville U.M. Church, 806 Dellville Road in Duncannon. Funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday and his interment will follow in the Dellville Cemetery. Donations can be made in his memory to the Kinkora Pythian Home Auxiliary, 25 Cove Road, Duncannon, PA 17020 or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780 New York, NY 10008. Funeral service is under the direction of Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home of Duncannon.
