Born July 15, 1941 in Harrisburg, he was the son of William H. and Sarah (Lowery) Metzger. He was preceded in death by his first wife Doris Hammaker and three brothers William, Richard, and Lowell (Buddy).
Barry retired after twenty eight years of service with the former Shaull Heavy Equipment Inc. He was a member of Summerdale United Methodist Church ; Barry enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and had a passion for working with wood, making furniture and lawn ornaments.
Surviving are his lovely wife of thirteen years Lydia E. (Kowalski) Metzger.
