He attended Delton Kellogg High School graduating in 1974. Michael owned and operated Baker's Excavating with his wife and son for 27 years.
His hobbies included his family, business, hunting, fishing and he loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harley and Helen Palmer; and brother-in-law, Durwood Steward.
Surviving Are his wife of 32 years, Mary (Palmer) Baker of Dowling; daughter, Cheri Baker of Dowling; son, Robert (Jessi) Baker of Dowling; grandsons Colton and Mason Baker; father and mother, Robert and Joyce Baker of Delton; brother, David Baker of Delton.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday February 8, 2011 at Dowling Country Chapel. Reverend Kimberly Tallent officiated.
