Susan Kay Steward, age 70 of Delton, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Susan was born on February 27, 1951 in Hastings to Robert and Joyce (Dawson) Baker. She worked for Delton Kellogg Schools for many years. Susan was a member of Thornapple Valley Church in Delton, and enjoyed volunteering her time there as well. She was also a member of Bible Study Fellowship. Susan was very crafty and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering. She also loved to go on vacations with her family. Susan is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Bever, Michelle (Bill) Gray; grandchildren: Sarah and Jacob Bever, Molly and Scott Gray; brother, David Baker; sisters-in-law: Carol (Russ) Atherton, Marie Holden; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Durwood Steward, in 2004; her parents; brother, Michael (Mary) Baker. Friends and relatives may meet with the family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. A funeral service for Susan will be held at Thornapple Valley Church in Delton on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.; Erica Schaefer will officiate.
