Galesburg, IL - Ruth M. Seiler, 91, of Seminary Manor, formerly of Oneida, died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at her residence.

Born Oct. 12, 1910, in Galesburg to George M. Sr. and Susie D. Hartnell Clark, she married Carl Seiler on Feb. 14, 1937, in rural Oneida. He died Feb. 19, 1981.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, three half sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Surviving are four daughters, Virginia (and Samuel) Down of Wyoming, Ill., Ann Muzzey of Naples, Fla., Rosemary (and Alfred) Vermiglio of Buffalo Grove and Marcia (and Stephen) Hawkins of Cameron; one sister, Mary Clark of Columbus, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A member of Knox-Lombard 50 Year Club and Delta Zeta Sorority, she had attended Lombard College and Knox College, both in Galesburg.

She was a member of Central Congregational Church in Galesburg and was a former member of Ontario Congregational Church in rural Oneida.

She also was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Galesburg Chapter.

She had been a 4-H leader.

Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery.
