Mrs. Ossie Jones Henderson, 76, of 7 Redfox Drive, Georgetown, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. The Bryan County native was a retired teacher who had taught in Georgia and Florida schools more than 50 years. She was a member of University of Florida Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi and St. Nicholas Christian Church in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a graduate of Georgia Southern College and the University of Florida.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph L. Henderson of Savannah; a son, Patrick Henderson of Richmond Hill; a sister, Mrs. Aulbert Brannen of Statesboro; a brother, J.E. Jones of Rincon; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. today at Barnes-Hodges-Turner Funeral Directors in Statesboro, burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro.
