Mrs. Mary Connors, aged 70 years, widow of William Connors, died at her home, 106 E. Embargo Streets, at 8:10 o'clock Friday evening. She had been in failing health for a number of years but had been confined to her bed for only a week. Her death was caused by a general wearing out of the system. She was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, and her maiden name was Mary Burk. In Ireland 52 years ago she was married to Mr. Connors and they came to this country and located in Waterville 44 years ago last July. During the month of February 1896, they removed to this city [Rome] with their family, Mr. Connors dying here on May 23, 1911. Mrs. Connors was a member of St. Peter's Church. She is survived by five daughters and four sons, Mrs. Thomas Bogan of Waterville, Mrs. Charles F. Beck of Stamford, Conn., Mrs. C. F. Larkin and Mrs. James L. Miller of Rome, Mrs. Thomas Greenan, and Patrick J. Connors of Utica, Richard B. Connors of Knoxboro, and John and Edward Connors, who resided at home. Mrs. Connors had a large acquaintance in this city and her many friends will extend their sympathy to the family.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Connors was held from the family residence, 106 E. Embargo Street, at 8:30 a.m. today, and at St. Peter's Church at 9 o'clock. Solemn high mass was celebrated, with Rev. Richard P.O'Connor of Deerfield as celebrant, Very Rev. Dean James J. Carson, M.R.V.F. as deacon and Rev. Patrick J. Mattimore as sub-deacon. Father O'Connor is a nephew of the deceased. As the remains were taken into the church, members of the choir sang Face to Face and as they were carried out Abide With Me was sung. There were many handsome floral offerings from friends and relatives. The bearers were four sons, Richard B. Connors, Knoxboro; Patrick J. Connors, Utica; John and Edward Connors of this city. Interment was made in St. Peter's cemetery. Among those present at the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Margaret O'Toole of Rochester, Miss Mary O'Connor of Utica and Joseph O'Connor of Waterville.
