Frank C. Gregory, a Greeley clothing salesman hunting nearby, spotted the blaze and notified authorities.
The body was tentatively identified as that of Henry S (Hank) Lesser of 1022 ½ Eleventh street, Greeley. Identification Monday night was based entirely upon the fact that the Dodge automobile in which the body was found bore Lesser’s license plates and the fact that Lesser was seen hunting in the area earlier in the afternoon.
Coroner John Allnutt said Tuesday that the death had been ruled accidental. Lesser may have suffered a heart attack.
He was the husband of Mrs. Ida Lesser, the son of Jacob Lesser and the brother of Jack Lesser all of Greeley.
Funeral services for Henry S Lesser will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon from Macys drawing room with interment at Linn Grove.
Information extracted from Loveland Reporter Herald & Greeley Tribune, dated December 26, 1950.
