Indian Wars Medal of Honor Recipient. Born Henry G. Nabers, December 28, 1848 in Dublin, Ireland, he used the alias John Tracy when he enlisted as a Private into Company G, 8th Cavalry, US Army. On October 20, 1869, at Rucker Canyon, Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona, Private Tracy was awarded the Medal of Honor for gallantry in action against Apache Indians led by War Chief Cochise.
