Former Valley Farmer Dies at Age 83
Pryor N. Bell, 83, long time resident and farmer in the Longmont area, died Tuesday, April 15 in Longmont after several years of ailing health. He was born near Hamilton, MO., Dec. 28, 1885 and moved to Longmont in 1919. He married Jennie Henninger in 1909 at Hamilton and the couple farmed in the Rinn Community for 25 years before retiring and moving to Hudson. Mrs. Bell preceded him in death in December 1964. Survivors include three sons, five daughters, one sister, 31 grandchildren; 56 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Hudson Methodist Church in Hudson with interment at Linn Gove Cemetery in Greeley. Howard's Park Avenue Chapel in Denver will be in charge of the services with local arrangements by Lewellen Funeral Home.
