Statesboro - Floyd "Pete" Hendrix, 67, of Statesboro died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The native of Bulloch County had lived in Statesboro all of his life. He was employed by the city of Statesboro for 19 years and was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hagan Hendrix of Statesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Reed and Mrs. Betty Hall, both of Statesboro; two sons, I.F. "Buck" Hendrix of Jonesboro and Herman Hendrix of Statesboro; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar "Shug" Hendrix of Statesboro; three brothers, Ira Hendrix of Pembroke, Wilmer Hendrix of Savannah and Oscar Hendrix Jr. of Statesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Lee Godbee of Statesboro, Mrs. Maggie Blackburn of Port Wentworth and Mrs. Virginia Young of Tampa, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro.
