Cooter, Mo.-Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. from the Methodist church in Cooter for James A. Alexander, 68, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Marvin E. Niblack.
Mr. Alexander, a retired farmer and a resident of the community for a number of years, had been ill for about two years.
Survivors are his wife, four sons, Adrain, of Cooter, Arnold and Floyd of Chicago and Boyce Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Lonnie Ruth Toland of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Rosemary Wirrock of Detroit, Mich. and Miss Romie, at home.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Services were held at the Methodist church here Sunday afternoon for J.A. Alexander, 69, with the Rev. Marvin Niblack officiating and with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Alexander died at his home Thursday, September 26, after a long illness.
A native of Tennessee, he had lived here for the past 35 years and was a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Roma, of the home, Lohrna Ruth Tolen of Tucson, Ariz. and Rose Mary Worlick of Detroit; four sons, Adrian of Cooter, Boyce of Colorado Springs, Arnold and Floyd Alexander of Chicago; twelve grandchildren; also four brothers and three sister living in Tennessee.
