Bernace Adrian Alexander, 81, died Wednesday, February 26, 1997, at his home near Braggadocio, Mo.
A son of the late Allie and Onie Wells, he was born in McNairy County, Tenn. on September 14, 1915.
A brother, Aaron Alexander, and one sister, Romie Card, also preceded him in death.
In October 1978 he was united in marriage with Faye Scott.
A member of the Methodist Church in Cooter, Mo., he was a member of the Steele (Mo.) Oddfellows Lodge #783, the American Legion Post #88, the Rebecca's Jurisdication Lodge of Missouri, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #468.
Mr. Alexander leaves his wife, Faye Alexander of rural Caruthersville, Mo.; Two sons: Kenny Alexander of Cooter and Robbie Roberts of Batesville, Ark.; Four stepchildren: Barbara Lacer of Number Eight Community, Mickie Radabaugh of Escondido, Calif., Sandra Flowers of Wentzville, Mo., and Larry Cook of Braggadocio; Three brothers: Arnold Alexander of Chicago, Ill., Floyd Alexander of Memphis, Tenn., and Boyce Alexander of Onstead, Mich.; Two sisters: Lona Ruth Toland of Mesa, Ariz. and Rosemary Fil of Warren, Mich.; A granddaughter, April Alexander; Two grandsons: Travis Roberts and Ryhan Roberts; and Two stepgrandchildren: Jay Cook and Michele Cook; and their mother, Donna Brown, of Collierville, Tenn.
Funeral services for Mr. Alexander were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 1997, at the Methodist Church in Cooter with Rev. Dean Fox officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Joh W. German Funeral Home in charge.
