50th Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Westphal
Mr. and Mrs. John Westphal, well known pioneers of Two Rivers, celebrated their Golden Wedding with a gathering of relatives and friends by renewing their vows in a second ceremony. Mr. Westphal is a well known Civil War veteran, having served with the 27th Wisconsin Infantry.

John Westphal, aged 84 years, died Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at his home, 1114 Madison street, Two Rivers, death being due to general debility.
Mr. Westphal was engaged in the farming business near Two Rivers for a long time. He was born in Germany. He is survived by his wife, six sons and two daughters, John Westphal, Two Rivers, Fred, Two Rivers, Henry ,Algoma, Wis., Louis, Manistee, Mich., Charles, Sheboygan, William, Sheboygan, Mrs. Alex Bertram, Sheboygan and Mrs. Joseph Schramm, Glenco, Ill.
He will be buried tomorrow afternoon at the Lutheran cemetery.
