Mrs. Laura M. Sterner, 99, formerly of New Ringgold, died Thursday, Feb. 3, in the Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

She was the widow of Paul Franklin Sterner, who died on March 2, 1996.

She was a homemaker.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and the Hattie (Reimert) Adams.

She was a member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township, where she was active in the Women's Guild.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean D. (Sterner) Moyer of Tamaqua; a son, Marlin P. of Hamburg; a brother, Ralph Adams of Hatfield; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Walter, Arthur, LeRoy, Richard, and Charles; and three sisters, Helen Wink, Anna Kerschner, and Behulah Ryan.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 2066 W. Penn Pike, Rt. 309, New Ringgold, with the Rev. Michael A. Frost officiating.

Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday.
