Services are pending with West Funeral Home for Roxie L. Williams, 93, of Loving.
She died Sunday at Lakeview Christian Home, North Canal Street.
Mrs. Williams came to Carlsbad in 1924 and settled on a farm east of Loving, where the family farmed.
WILLIAMS
Services for Roxie L. Williams, 93, of Loving, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in West Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Cleve Kerby of the Blodgett Street Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams died Sunday at Lakeview Christian Home on North Canal Street.
She was born May 27, 1897, in Lambric, Ky., to Linville and Emily Mann.
She was raised and attended school in Kentucky.
In 1924, she moved to New Mexico and settled on a farm east of Loving, which her family worked.
She continued farming until her death.
Survivors include five sons, Lawrence P. Willims of Peralta, N.M., L.D. Williams of Mesa, Ariz., Frank Williams of Clarksville, Mo., and Glen B. Williams and james W. Williams, both of Mount Grove, Mo.; three daughters, Martha Stribling and Margaret Fate, both of Albuquerque, and Celia Malavec of Peralta, N.M.; three brothers, Hanibal Mann of Kentucky, Ronald Mann of Mount Sterling, Ky., and Glenn Mann of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Flora Fugate and Delphia Fugate of Mount Sterling; 38 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
