INQUEST RULES ACCIDENTAL
DEATH IN HIGHWAY SMASHUP
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Carlsbad First Christian Church for Williams with the Rev. Larry Sellars, pastor of the Fort Stockton First Christian Church officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. S.V. Mattson.
Burial will be in the Carlsbad Cemetery under direction of West Funeral Home.
Williams was born at Sprigg, W. Va., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams, who moved to Loving in 1924.
A farmer, he was a member of the First Christian Church. He moved to Loving as a baby with his parents and attended school in Loving and Carlsbad.
A veteran of World War II, he married Miss Mildred Johnson in Loving Jan. 16, 1943. He moved to Fort Stockton in 1956.
Pallbearers will be Coy Hunt, Woodrow Burkham, Douglas Fugate, W.L. Pierce, David Kilman and Joe T. Milavee. Honorary pallbearers will be G.C. Davis and A.C. Burkham.
Surviving besides his wife and parents, are two daughters, Mrs. Lavella Kilman of Fort Stockton and Lisa Williams of Fort Stockton; six brothers, Lawrence P. (Pete) of Fort Stockton, S.F. Jr. of Loving, Lind, Cash C., Glen B. and James Warren Williams, all of Fort Stockton; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Stribling of Albuquerque; Mrs. Donald R. Fate of Saudia Arabia and Mrs. Joe T. Milavee of Loving. Also surviving are the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Mann of Mount Sterling, Ky.
