Ida Virginia Camden Lamb
Ida Virginia Camden Lamb, 95, died Wed. Feb. 2, 2011 at Fairmont Crossing. She was the wife of the late Carey Owen Lamb.
Born Aug. 13, 1915 in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Lee Camden and the late Vivian Franklin Camden Eubank. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, a homemaker and a school bus driver.
She is survived by two sons Arthur Lamb of Madison Heights, Rev. Carey E. Lamb and wife Frances of Quinton, four grandsons and their families Carey Ray Lamb and wife Robin of Tappahannock and their son Carey Scott Lamb and fianc‚ Audrey of Richmond, Lee Lamb and wife Lisa and their children Taylor and Carter of Quinton, Jon Lamb and wife Caroline and their daughter Emily of Charles City and Mike Lamb and wife Nicole and their son Cooper of Urbanna, a sister Margaret White of VA Beach, three nephews and a devoted family member Betty Dillard of Monroe.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Driskill Funeral Chapel, Amherst 434-946-5529, with Rev. Hugh Bumgarner officiating.
Burial will be in the Allwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P. M. today at Driskill Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church or Allwood Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Fairmont Crossing for their special care given Virginia during her time of illness.
