Funeral services were held June 19 for Mrs. Marith R. Haanstad, 86, Rice Lake, who died at the home of a daughter in New Richmond, June 16.
She was born near Strum Aug. 9, 1880, the daughter of Ole and Gertrude Romundstad and married to Henry Haanstad Dec. 11, 1907.
Survivors are one son, Phillip, Eau Claire; two daughters, Mrs. Rex. Carney, New Richmond, and Mrs. Ellwood Thomas, Rice Lake; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kaaro and Mrs. Olga Oquist, both of Lewistown, Mont.
Services Monday were at the Hyllengren Funeral Home, the Rev. J. C, Stoltenberg officiating. Burial was in Lake View Cemetery, Eau Claire.
