Mrs. Dorothy Dempsey, 80, of Eldorado, died at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 in Jackson, Tenn.
She was the widow of Ben Dempsey. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1976.
Mrs. Dempsey was born on Oct. 11, 1918, in Eldorado, to the late Edgar and Dora (Watson) Dempsey.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Jean Dempsey of Nashville, Tenn., Dan and Patty Dempsey of Tampa, Fla. and Kenny and Shirley Watson of Eldorado; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Charles Pilkington of Jackson, Tenn., and Norma and Tom Orpen of San Francisco, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 at the Eldorado Church of God, where she was a member. The Rev. Scott Pilkington will officiate. Burial will be in Dodd Cemetery at Eldorado.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until service time. Watson Funeral Home of Eldorado is in charge of the arrangements.
