ALANSON BRADLEY
On the 31st day of July , 1891 at his residence near Warrens Corners in theis county, ALANSON BRADLEY passed away. He was born the city of Auburn in the County of Cayuga, NY on the 19th day of October 1810 and was therefore almost 81 years of age at time of his death, which resulted from an accident.
In 1840 he married NANCY CARLTON and has ever since lived on what is known as the Carlton Homestead, where he died. He survived his wife nearly 12 years and now leaves four children to mourn his loss; Alvin C. Bradley of Warrens Corners; Alfred H. Bradley of Cambria; Artemus A. Bradley & Mrs. C. E. Underwood of this City.
He was akind husband and father, an honest, ernest, manly man. In all things he was sincere and with little regard for popular opinion, he was as outspoken for what he believed to be right and true, as he was against that which he thought to be wrong and erronerous. He believed in the inspiration of the Bible and the divinity of Christ; but claimd that he taught while on earth, that man's chief duty was to assist his fellow man, and especially the poor and needy. This interperation of the word he maintained with great force; having done so, he illistrated what he believed by his life. As he thought in his heart, so was he.
The funneral will be held from his family residence tomorrow afternoon (Sunday) at 2 o'clock.
