CORNELIA (EVANS) CHAPMAN

Ennis, Texas -
Mrs. Cornelia Chapman, 81, wife of the late W. E. Chapman, pioneer attorney at law of Ennis, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. B. Walker, as a result of a fall in her room last Wednesday when she broke her right hip.

Services will be held at 10:30 on Monday in the Keever Chapel. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery.

Formerly Cornelia Evans, daughter of William and Mary Evans, Mrs. Chapman was born in Hutto. She was married at Georgetown on Dec. 1, 1886, and Mr. and Mrs. Chapman came to Ennis in 1902 where Chapman practiced law until he retired in 1932. He died Oct. 1, 1937.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Williams, Blossom, Mrs. Walker; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Chapman graduated from Southwestern University in 1886. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
