B. Howard Biggers, 75 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday, February 4, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. James Fennell and the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Biggers was born April 29, 1929, in Worth County, Georgia, to the late Starling M. and Effie Howard Biggers. He was a former maintenance worker with Atlantic Coastline Railroad and farmed in Ben Hill, Irwin and Wilcox Counties. In 1966 he moved to Stockbridge, working with Harper Motor Lines and Brown Transport Company in Atlanta before moving back to Fitzgerald in 1977. Mr. Biggers also worked with his sons in construction.

Mr. Biggers is survived by his two sons: Rev. David Biggers, Fitzgerald and Mike Biggers, Ocilla; one daughter: Ellen B. Hudson, Ocilla; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; one brother: Stanley Biggers, Fitzgerald; two sisters: Betty Jane Vaughn, Riverdale and Elizabeth Luke, Monticello; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
