Albert (Al) Chester Sanburg was the tenth and last child to survive to adulthood born to Maren (41) and Captain John (46) Sanburg. Note: July 5 is the birthdate found on Albert's birth certificate. Other official documentation shows July 4, but his birth certificate is the oldest and most reliable source. Also, the birth certificate shows the name "Emil". Albert was told by his brothers and sisters that his name was changed when he began to attend elementary school. This birth certificate was accepted as true and valid proof of birth by the Social Security Administration when Al applied for retirement benefits on May 24, 1966 (see attached).
