Milton Arden Brownlee, Sr. -- A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Monday, January 31, 2011, at his home. He retired after 35 years of service from International Paper Company, Research Department. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was an accomplished archer and golfer. Mr. Brownlee excelled in bowling for over 45 years, two of which, he held the highest average in Mobile. He was a devoted husband and an excellent father, who will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his son, Milton Arden Brownlee, Jr.; his parents; three brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his wife and best friend of 64 years, Patricia Miles Brownlee; two daughters, Pat Foster Gares and Cindy Brownlee DeBin; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grand-children, other relatives, and friends.
