SARAH WOODWORTH IS BURIED WEDNESDAY
NEVER MARRIED

Waverly Gazette: Sarah Woodworth was born in Adams county, Ohio in the year 1840, August 24. In her early womanhood she came to Kansas with her parents, brothers, and sisters, living with her parents until their death. She then made her home with a brother-in-law, C.E. Glass, caring for his family for many years. After his death she made her home with Matt G. Glass in Kansas City, where she died August 19, 1927. Five brothers and four sisters have preceded her in death. One sister, Mrs. Mary Truitt, of Garfield, Kansas and two brothers, Geo. W. and Samuel E. Woodworth, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving sister, besides many nieces and nephews and friends.

Her life was a life of service, loyal and true to those she loved. She found her joy in serving them. She united with the Presbyterian church at Rock Creek and has been a conscientious Christian for many years. She has practically been an invalid for almost four years, patiently enduring pain and helplessness.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E.T. Lacey at the M.E. church at Agricola August 24 [1927] and burial took place in [Pleasant View] Agricola cemetery.
