The people of this town were much shocked to learn of the sudden death of Mr. Abner Ames, a well known farmer who resides in the western part of the town. Mr Ames had gone to the barn that morning as usual to do his chores and was found shortly afterwards dead in one of the outbuildings. He had been subject to fainting spells and death was pronounced by Coroner Ward as due to heart disease. Deceased had filled his coal scuttle and evidently started for the house when attacked with dizziness and had pulled an overcoat from a sleigh and laid down on it and breathed his last. He was sixty-eight years of age and is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. He has three brothers living, Charles, of this town, Menzo, of Mohawk, and Dorr, of Chicago. Funeral from his late residence at 1 p.m. today.
