Clyde Arthur Parker, age 87, of Guttenberg, was born the son of Charles and Flossie (Bush) Parker, May 4, 1923, on the family farm near Osterdock.

He died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Clyde received his education locally; served his country in the United States Army during World War II; and was a carpenter and plumber for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with family.

On June 25, 1949, he was united in marriage with Adel Mahowald at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Adel; three daughters, Bonnie (James) Clinton of Guttenberg, Tamie (Donald) Schaefer of Guttenberg, Cathy (Lee) Hoover of Thornton, Colorado; two sons, Rick (Laurie) Parker of Cedar Rapids and Scott (Debbie) Parker of Golden, Colorado; thirteen grandchildren, Heather (Jim) Meyer, Josh (Jenni) Clinton, Hillary (Russ) Koetz, Jill (Derek) Jensen, Danielle (Brock) Lumpa, Michael Parker & Stephanie Hurst, Dalton, Jarid, Ciaira, Nathan, Cailee Parker, Kendra Parker, and Hannah Hoover; fourteen great-grandchildren, Breanna, Madison, Nicholas, Evelyn, Jake, Christopher, Zachery, Sam, Ana, Tyler, Parker, Hayden, Keaton, and McKenna; and many other relatives friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bob, Willie, Don, and Eldon.
