Faribault Republican, Dec. 17, 1884
The body of John Driscoll, of Northfield, was found lying in Spring Creek, about half way between Northfield and Dundas, by a brakeman on Wednesday last. From marks in the snow, it would appear that he had been struck by a locomotive and knocked down the embankment into the water. The deceased was about 28 years of age, and was subject to fits, and had been sent to the Rochester Insane Hospital last summer, but had been released after a few weeks.
