Henry Reichert, son of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Reichert, was born Oct. 8, 1871 in the German Settlement of Dittel, Russia. He was dedicated unto God in Holy Baptism and in accordance with the Lutheran church ordinance, he was confirmed in later childhood years. On Jan. 10, 1894, he was united in marriage with Katherine Elizabeth Weinmeister. Thirteen children were born to this union of whom six preceded the father in death.

He came to the USA in 1902, settling first in Sugar City, CO, before he came to the Windsor area where he had lived since. He was farming and retired in 1927 when he moved to town at Walnut and Second.

His first wife, Katherine Elizabeth, died Sep. 13, 1918. He remarried to Mrs. Mary Feit Apr. 30, 1919. She passed away Sep. 3, 1948, and on May 25, 1949, he was married to Mrs. Eva Weinmeister. The deceased was a charter member of Zion's Church and a member of the brotherhood meeting. He treasured God's Word as the Fountain of Life. Three weeks prior to his death, he was hospitalized suffering a stroke. He suffered two additional strokes which hastened his departure. According to God's wise providence, his soul was taken out of this world at the Weld County General Hospital, Monday, Aug. 1, 1955 at 11:40 pm. He had reached the ripe age of 83 years, 9 months and 23 days.

He is survived by his wife, 7 children, Mrs. Mary Daubert of Greeley; Alex of Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Daniel Sitzman of Greeley; George of Milwaukee, Wis.; Sam, Ben & Henry, Jr., all of Greeley. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.
