Jacob Hettinger, 85, of Windsor, died Tuesday at Weld County General Hospital. He was a retired farmer.

He was born Nov. 29, 1878 at Dittel, Russia. He married Sophia Kindsfather December 27, 1901 in Russia and they came to the United States in 1906. She died Nov. 15, 1939. Hettinger was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Windsor.

Survivors include eight children, Henry of Eaton; George of Windsor; Alex, Herman and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Anderson of Greeley; Mrs. Carl (Freda) Helzer of Timnath; Mrs. Russell (Lydia) Hatfield of Wellington; and Mrs. Less (Esther) Kent of Fort Collins; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the Zion United Church of Christ at Windsor with interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
