Elma Mary ( Amos ) Fullmer, 91, of La Grande died Sept. 18 at a local care center. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the LDS Church on 12th Street and Gekeler Lane. Bishop David W. Clemens will officiate.

Viewing will run from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the children's meeting room. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Elma was born April 27, 1916, to Orien Monroe Amos and Gladys Ethel Baum in

La Grande. She attended schools in La Grande.

On Nov. 22, 1934, she married LeVern E. Fullmer in

La Grande. They were later sealed in the LDS Temple in Mesa, Ariz. Her husband was in the U.S. Navy and she followed him to several places in the United States where he was stationed. She lived in Seattle; several places in California including Long Beach, Vallejo, San Francisco and San Diego; Pittsburg, Pa., and Newport, R.I., but she always considered La Grande home.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the women's Relief Society organization and spent many hours helping others in need.

She is survived by her son, E. Eugene Fullmer of La Grande; sister, Darlena Hargett of La Grande; eight grandchildren and their spouses; 37 great-grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Muriel Rae Wagoner; brothers, Lloyd Amos, Lonnie Amos, Carl Amos and Leland Amos.
