This Jackson is a young man from Iowa, nativity Indiana, not the man from Tennessee, who was ten years older. As noted on the stone Jackson served in the 2nd Regiment Iowa Calvary, Company B. This company was formed in Marshall County, Iowa. Check the Iowa record of soldiers of the war of the rebellion as well the army registers of death. Probate records from Marshall County, Iowa, also confirm the identity.
